Signs You Have Moles
Raised ridges across the turf
Surface tunnels push up long, winding ridges of soil. They are the clearest sign, and what separates moles from burrowing rodents.
Volcano-shaped mounds of soil
Deeper tunnels get cleared by pushing soil to the surface, leaving conical molehills rather than an open hole.
Spongy turf and dying patches
Ground that gives underfoot, and grass that browns off where the root zone has been cut through by tunneling.

What Mole Removal Includes

Frequently Asked Questions
Moles or voles?
Moles push up ridges and conical mounds and eat insects. Voles leave narrow surface runways in the grass and gnaw plant roots and bark. The control work is different, so identification comes first.
Do repellents and sonic spikes work?
Neither reliably clears an established tunnel network. Trapping in the active runs is what removes the animal.
How many moles are in my lawn?
Usually fewer than the damage suggests. A single mole can produce an extensive network, which is why the count matters less than finding the runs that are actually in use.
Will the lawn recover?
Once the tunneling stops, ridges can be rolled and reseeded. The damage is cosmetic and structural to the root zone, not permanent.
Is it grubs that brought them in?
Moles feed mainly on earthworms and grubs, so soil life is part of the picture. We flag what we see, but removing the mole is the immediate fix.
