Skunk Trapping in Gloucester Township, NJ
Skunks patrol the edges where Gloucester Township's developments meet the Timber Creek woods, and the deck-heavy backyards of Sicklerville and Erial give them everything they want: grub-rich lawns, quiet cover, and an open crawl under nearly every deck and shed.
Short answer: Acorn Wildlife traps Gloucester Township skunks in fully covered live traps set at the den entrance, which keeps the tail down and the spray in, then seals the deck or shed with a buried barrier. The inspection is included. Call or Text (856) 398-1028.

This page covers skunk work in Gloucester Township. The full method, including why covered traps mean no spray, is on our South Jersey skunk trapping page, and everything else we handle locally is on the Gloucester Township wildlife removal page.
What Does a Skunk Problem Look Like in Gloucester Township?
The township's edge habitat is the source. Skunks den along the Timber Creek branches and hedgerows, then work outward into the neighborhoods at night, and the first unskirted deck with soft soil under it becomes a satellite den. Erial and Sicklerville backyards that border the woods see the most den activity; Blackwood's older blocks see more of the transient lawn-digging, especially in early fall when grubs ride high in the soil and skunks are fattening for winter.
From May into June, a den under a structure usually holds a mother with kits, so we check before setting anything and remove the family together rather than orphan kits under your deck. The covered trap does the rest: skunks spray at what they can see and aim at, and a fully enclosed trap removes both, which is why removal day is almost always uneventful.
Short answer: Trust your nose and your lawn. A musky odor that surfaces at night and fades by morning, shallow cone-shaped holes dug across the grass, and a 4 to 6 inch opening with kicked-out soil under a deck, shed, or stoop all point the same way: a skunk has moved in underneath something.
