Our Warranty: If They Get Back In, We Come Back
Most wildlife warranties are written to be quoted on the phone and forgotten at claim time. Ours is short enough to actually read. Here is the whole thing, including the parts other companies bury: what voids it, and the honest edge cases.
Short answer: The Acorn Seal-Tight Warranty covers every exclusion repair Acorn Wildlife makes. If an animal re-enters your home through a repair we performed, we come back and fix it at no charge for the warranty term. It covers our workmanship, not openings you chose to leave unsealed.
What the Seal-Tight Warranty Promises
The warranty exists because of how we sell. Acorn Wildlife in Cherry Hill, NJ quotes exclusion repairs with every removal, and a company that says "pay us to seal your house" should be on the hook if the seal fails. The warranty is that hook. It covers the workmanship and materials of every repair on your written quote: hardware cloth, flashing, chimney caps, vent guards, rebuilt soffit returns, sealed foundation gaps.
Short answer: Simple version: if an animal gets back into your home through an entry point Acorn Wildlife repaired, we return, remove the animal, and redo the repair at no charge, for the full warranty term. No trip fees, no re-inspection fees, no arguing about it.
What's Covered
✓ Re-entry through any repair we made: if our patch, screen, cap, or seal fails and an animal uses it, the return visit and the re-repair are free.
✓ The removal that comes with it: if a covered failure lets an animal back in, getting that animal out again is on us, not you.
✓ Every repair listed on your written exclusion quote, whether it was one vent guard or a whole-roofline job.
✓ Transfer to a new homeowner if you sell the house during the term.
What Voids It (Read This Part)
✓ New openings: a squirrel that chews a fresh hole through an untouched section of fascia is a new job, not a warranty claim. Your inspection report shows exactly which areas we repaired.
✓ Declined repairs: if the inspection flagged an entry point and it stayed on the "not now" list, animals using that opening are not covered. We will always tell you at quote time which gaps worry us most.
✓ Storm and structural damage: wind, fallen limbs, roof work, siding replacement, or any event that removes or destroys our repair ends coverage on that repair.
✓ Third-party alterations: if another contractor removes or modifies our work, coverage on that repair ends with it.
The Honest Edge Cases
Real claims are rarely clean, so here is how we handle the gray areas instead of discovering our answer at claim time.
The hole next to our repair. Squirrels sometimes chew a new opening inches from a sealed one. Strictly, that is new damage. In practice, if it is at the edge of our repair and our materials should have extended further, we treat it as our miss and fix it free. If it is genuinely new territory, we say so, show you photos of both spots, and quote it fairly.
Mice versus everything else. A repair that holds out raccoons can still admit a mouse somewhere else, because mice fit through a gap the width of a pencil. Whole-home rodent sealing is quoted as its own scope. Your quote will say plainly which standard your job was sealed to, so the warranty means the same thing you thought it meant.
The animal that was already inside. Exclusion done while an animal is still in the structure can trap it inside, which is why we verify the house is empty before final sealing. If we ever seal an animal in, that is our error, full stop, and we fix it at no charge including any odor and removal work it causes.
How to Make a Claim

✓ We schedule a return inspection, priority-booked ahead of new work.
✓ We check the repair against your original photo-documented inspection report. That report, made the day we quoted you, is what makes claims fast and argument-free.
✓ If the animal came through our repair, we remove it and redo the work at no charge. If it did not, we show you exactly what we found and quote the new problem honestly.
